    Success!
  • 2024 Program Year

Our focus continues to be on the community of Nueva Consolacion, a small mountain village just west of Lepaera in the Department of Lempira in Honduras.  However, that focus has led to a broadened scope as Nueva Consolacion develops into a regional center for nine surrounding mountain communities that make up the "St Thomas" sector of the local Catholic Deanery.

Whether that investment is in community water systems throughout this area, continued development of the work center that now offers classes for these communities, or the chapel which continues to draw from a larger area, Nueva Consolacion is becoming a center of faith and community activity for 10 villages in the area.

Our goal for 2024-25 will developing a retreat house for teachers working in the kindergarten and Work Center, and other educators and professionals supporting Nueva Consolacion can stay.  Once the retreat house is built, the next priority need is a medical dispensary.  Both are being designed by the team architect.
