Alter Server:
Assists the presider during the celebration of the liturgy on weekends and holydays. Open to adults and children (4th grade and up). Training provided.
Eucharist Minister:
Assists with the distribution of Communion. Open to confirmed members of the community. Selection by interview and appointment. Annual training provided.
Lector:
Proclaim the Word of God during liturgy. Open to all high school and adult members of the community. Selection by audition and appointment. Mandatory practice before your weekend assignment.
Usher / Greeter:
Assists the assembly during the liturgy with greeting, seating, collection, and answering questions. Open to all youth and adult members of the community. Individual and group training provided.
Liturgical Environment:
Help prepare the church environment especially for the major liturgical seasons including Advent-Christmas and Lent-East. Maintenance (watering) of live plants in the church is also necessary. Contact Jackie Babol at 208-772-9949.
Choir:
Sing or play musical instruments for weekend masses. Choir leads the assembly in song during the liturgy. Selection by audition and appointment. Rehearsals scheduled before your weekend assignment.
Christmas and Easter Choirs:
Join the regular choir to add your voice or music talent to these special liturgical seasons. Selection by audition and appointment. Practice sessions in advance of presentation.
Presentaion of the Gifts:
Parishioners bring forth the offertory gifts of bread and wine at the Eucharistic celebrations and present them at the altar. Participation is open to all. The head usher coordinates this at the beginning of mass. Priority is given to First Eucharist families and those families having children baptized during the mass.
Home Visitation Ministry:
Assist our priests and deacon by visiting and sharing the Eucharist with our elderly and home bound parishioners. Selection by interview and appointment. Annual training provided. Contact Chuck Finan at 208-765-3230.
Baptismal Cloths:
Fabricate white baptismal cloths for infant baptisms as necessary. Contact Mary Lou Wilson at 208-765-2714.
Mass Vestments and Linens:
Keep vestments and linens clean and in good repair. For vestments contact Florence Radermacher at 208-457-1495, and for linens contact Carlene Ochoa at 208-664-4549.
Pew Envelopes:
Volunteer to place envelopes, scratch paper, and pencils in pews weekly.
